Selection Criteria

  • College freshman, sophomore, junior or senior in good standing for the academic year the scholarship is offered.
  • Enrolled in an agriculture-related degree.
  • Preference is given to residents of Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, Wyoming, North Dakota, Minnesota, or Wisconsin.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 preferred.
  • One- to two-page essay on how the applicant plans to use his/her major in the chosen career (which must be in an agribusiness-related field).
  • Preference given to students who are not previous Farm Credit Services of America, Frontier Farm Credit or AgCountry scholarship winners.
  • If selected as the recipient, an acceptance letter indicating the student’s future plans would be appreciated.

Application Criteria

  • Confirm you are eligible based on the selection criteria.
  • Complete the online scholarship application for North Dakota State University.
  • Include a one- to two-page essay explaining your career plans following graduation, which must be in an agribusiness-related field.
  • Applications and essays are screened by the university.
  • After the winners are determined, scholarship recipients will be notified.

We offer annual $2,500 scholarships to students pursuing degree fields that help support agriculture, including agriculture, business, finance and technology in Minnesota, North Dakota, and Wisconsin. Application deadlines and processes vary by college.

Selection Criteria

  • Eligible students must be a current freshman, sophomore or junior.
  • Eligible candidates must be pursuing a degree for the 2026-2027 academic year.
  • Enrolled in degree fields that help support agriculture, including agriculture, business, finance and technology at one of the five four-year colleges in Minnesota, North Dakota, and Wisconsin. See links to apply directly through the school’s application process.
  • Candidates must possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
  • Applicants preferred permanent residence is in Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin or Wyoming.

  • Complete the scholarship application for your selected qualifying university either online or by contacting the school for a printed application.
  • The top applications are selected and notified by the college and the AgCountry Farm Credit Services scholarships are processed through the college.
  • The scholarship amount is paid out as follows: $1,250 paid in the fall 2026 semester and $1,250 paid in the spring 2027 semester to each recipient.
  • Applications are screened by the universities.
  • After the winners are determined, recipients will be notified.

Selection Criteria

  • Eligible candidates must be a traditional (age 18-22) full time student enrolled in an agricultural coursework.
  • Candidates must possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
  • Applicants must have a permanent residence in Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin or Wyoming.
  • Preference is given to those who intend to return to the farm/ranch or a farm related job in a rural community.
  • Financial need will not be a consideration.

  • The top applications are selected and notified by the college and the AgCountry Farm Credit Services scholarships are processed through the college.
