Are you interested in being part of the heart and soul of AgCountry? Do you have a passion for agriculture and want to help steer the direction of your cooperative? Then we have a great opportunity for you! AgCountry is seeking candidates for our Board of Directors and Nominating Committee.
As a member-owned cooperative, AgCountry relies on the dedication and insight of its Board of Directors and Nominating Committee to maintain its position as a leader in the field of agricultural lending and financial services. If you're a farmer or rancher who has a desire to make a difference and serve a greater good, then we would love to hear from you.
The Board of Directors plays a vital role in shaping the future of AgCountry. You'll be responsible for establishing policies, providing strategic direction, hiring the CEO and providing a plan of succession, overseeing management, and monitoring all major institution functions. All Board Members receive a compensation package for their role on the Board and are reimbursed for expenses. Directors meet 20 to 25 days per year in addition to committees, training, and member events.
Not only will you be making a difference in the agricultural industry, but you'll also have the opportunity to network with other farmers and ranchers who share your passion and dedication. Our Board of Directors is made up of individuals who come from a wide range of backgrounds, which allows for a broad perspective on the issues and challenges facing the agricultural community today.
The Nominating Committee is an important component of AgCountry's structure. Made up of stockholders, the Nominating Committee identifies, evaluates, and nominates candidates for the Board of Directors and the next Nominating Committee. Serving on the Nominating Committee is an opportunity to take an active role in shaping the leadership of AgCountry.
If you're interested in serving on the Nominating Committee, you'll need to be prepared to attend up to three meetings per year. These meetings will include a conference call to review expectations for the sourcing, evaluating, and nominating of candidates; a meeting to evaluate both Board and future Nominating Committee candidates; and a meeting to interview identified director candidates and finalize all candidate slates. Nominating Committee members serve one-year terms and can serve up to four consecutive terms. All participants will receive a retainer for meetings attended along with reimbursements for travel expenses.
Serving on AgCountry's Board of Directors or Nominating Committee is an excellent opportunity for farmers and ranchers to become more involved in the agricultural community. You'll have the chance to make a significant contribution to the success of AgCountry, while also networking with other like-minded individuals who share your passion.
